Artistic Work (Artist Statement)
DE: Im Zentrum meiner Arbeit steht die Übersetzung gesellschaftlicher Theorien und paradoxaler sozialer Phänomene in erfahrbare Räume. Ich arbeite interdisziplinär in den Bereichen Skulptur, Installation und Performance und hinterfrage soziale Routinen, Machtstrukturen und kulturelle Codes durch gezielte künstlerische Interventionen. Meine Praxis ist stark von kulturpolitischer und philosophischer Forschung geprägt und befasst sich zunehmend mit ökologischen und umweltpolitischen Fragestellungen. Meine Arbeiten sind orts- und situationsspezifisch: Materialien, Formen und Medien wähle ich je nach Projekt, um Raum und Konzept miteinander zu verbinden. Humor und Absurdität dienen als strategische Mittel, um komplexe Zusammenhänge erfahrbar zu machen und alternative Denkbewegungen anzuregen.
ENG: At the core of my work is the translation of social theories and paradoxical social phenomena into experiential spaces. I work interdisciplinarily across sculpture, installation, and performance, questioning social routines, power structures, and cultural codes through deliberate artistic interventions. My practice is strongly informed by cultural-political and philosophical research and increasingly engages with ecological and environmental questions. My works are site- and situation-specific: I select materials, forms, and media depending on the project to connect space and concept. Humor and absurdity serve as strategic tools to make complex relationships tangible and to stimulate alternative ways of thinking.
Curatorial Work
DE: Ich besitze praktische, theoretische und pädagogische Perspektiven auf Kunst, die meine interdisziplinäre kuratorische Praxis prägen. Meine Arbeit konzentriert sich auf Kulturpolitik, ökologische Szenarien, experimentelle Ausstellungsformate und interdisziplinären Austausch. Dieser Ansatz ermöglicht es mir, die vielfältigen Perspektiven innerhalb der Kunstwelt wahrzunehmen, zu analysieren und bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen zwischen ihnen herzustellen. In meinen kuratorischen Projekten strebe ich danach, neue Erfahrungsräume zu schaffen, in denen Kunst nicht nur visuell, sondern auch physisch, atmosphärisch und sozial erlebt werden kann.
Im Jahr 2026 werde ich als Kuratorin im Kurator:innenprogramm im Quartier am Hafen in Köln tätig sein und außerdem die künstlerische/kuratorische Leitung des Projektraums PUTTE in Neu-Ulm übernehmen.
ENG: I gained practical, theoretical, and pedagogical perspectives on art that now shape my interdisciplinary curatorial practice. My work focuses on cultural policy, ecological scenarios, experimental exhibition formats, and interdisciplinary exchange. This approach allows me to perceive, analyze, and create meaningful connections between the diverse perspectives within the art world. In my curatorial projects, I aim to create new experiential spaces where art can be experienced not only visually, but also physically, atmospherically, and socially.
In 2026, I will serve as a curator in the Emerging Curators Program at Quartier am Hafen in Cologne and will also take on the artistic/curatorial direction of the PUTTE exhibition space in Neu-Ulm.
